Safety
How a SwapStation keeps people and batteries safe
Physical interlocks first
The station controller enforces door locks and charging limits itself, independently of the cloud. Doors stay locked by default.
Sensors in every slot
Each slot watches temperature and electrical readings. A suspect battery is locked in and charging stops.
Only certified batteries
The cabinet reads each battery’s identity and health. Unknown, recalled or faulty packs are never released.
Safe when offline
If the connection drops, the station stops safely and keeps a signed record to send when it reconnects.
Remote support
Our team can see every door, help a rider, and dispatch a technician. Unlocking a door remotely needs privileged access and is recorded.
Self-service
No attendant needed: scan the station QR in the ScepterGrid app and follow the doors.
The swap
Four steps, about two minutes as a design target
Step 1
Scan
Scan the station QR in the app, or type its code.
Step 2
Return
A door unlocks. Put your battery in and close the door.
Step 3
Check and pay
The station verifies the battery; your card is charged the exact price.
Step 4
Go
A second door unlocks with a charged battery.
